This rare medal features a raised relief of Pope Pius XII on one side. The other side show St. Peter and the keys with the text "Holy Year Rome 1950" around the edge. The medal measures approximately 7/8" in diameter. The 1950 Holy Year in Rome, proclaimed by Pope Pius XII to promote post-war peace, repentance and renewal, drew over two million pilgrims to the Vatican.
