Each socket has a clip on it so you can place them exactly where you choose. The strand was tested and works. I also tested 5 random bulbs and they work as well but since they are vintage I cannot guarantee how long they will last. Comes with original box - which has quite a bit of wear but works for storage. The graphics on the box would look nice in a vintage holiday display when shown sideways. Lightly cleaned.
