There is a soft, hazy transition between the grass and the distant horizon creates a sense of depth and mist.  Painting is framed in a recessed, multi-layered wooden frame. The outer frame is a thick, wide molding with a distressed finish. The molding is painted in a silver-green metallic shade with decorative carved rope or swirl inner edge.
