For your consideration is a genuine, vintage piece with just the right patina.  An "Alpaca Silver" (basically everything except silver) Mexican crushed turquoise belt buckle.  The "real deal", not some reproduction garbage from the far east.  Includes the "ALPACA" stamp any everything.  As a true vintage piece, it does have some aesthetic cracks as shown.  Functionally, it is extremely strong and ready to last at least another lifetime.  Measures 4" at the widest part of the oval (left-to-right) and 3" at the thinnest part (top-to-bottom).  Width of the hinge is ~1.5" so it will fit any belt that size or smaller.   Interstingly enough, this was clearly worn for many, many days over the years/decades, but a pricetag still exists on the inside.  What's more surprising is the price.  7,585 pesos!  Going back even to the 1990's that would have been ~$1,000 USD.  Perhaps a haggling tactic?  Or maybe I'm missing something very valuable about this?  Going back to before the 90's when the exchange rate was better, the older this gets the more expensive it actually was.  Regardless, this piece oozes cool and is a true, worn vintage piece with character yet is still good to used for many, many more years and a few more rodeos.   Category: Clothing, Shoes & Accessories › Specialty › Vintage › Vintage Accessories › Belt Buckles.
