View Utagawa Toyohiro Antique Japanese Woodblock Print with Geishas - Exc. Condition with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. The image, possibly an early 20th century reprint, features three geishas dressed in colorful kimonos, standing on a raised walkway over the river, and would have originally been one of three prints in a triptych. Presented here is a lovely antique original Japanese color woodblock print by Utagawa Toyohiro (1773-1828), titled "The Sixth Month, Summer Party on the Kamo River".  The image, possibly an early 20th century reprint, features three geishas dressed in colorful kimonos, standing on a raised walkway over the river, and would have originally been one of three prints in a triptych.  The print contains some script (perhaps the title) and the artist's chop, or signature.  This image, which was printed without margins, measures 10 1/4" wide x 15 1/4" tall, and includes a cover sheet (detached) with text in Japanese script.  The condition of the print is excellent, with a crisp image and clean paper.  All in all, a great piece of antique Japanese art that will frame up beautifully and lend an exotic touch to any room!
