An antique Japanese Bronze Suiban planter hand crafted from the late Edo period ca. 1868 - 1920s, in very good antique condition with signs of use and as seen in the pics. The reddish copper base shows signs of use and is signed on the underside with the Chinese mark of the Xuande Emperor (1426 - 1435) of the Ming dynasty; known in Japan as Sen Toku. An antique Japanese Bronze Suiban planter  hand crafted from the late Edo period ca. 1868 - 1920s, in very good antique condition with signs of use and as seen in the pics.  This bronze planter with a copper base has a design of subtle bamboo foliage with stem relief on the sides, as well as camellias blossoms on the bamboo handles, and is accented with four pine cone shape feet, all beautifully rendered in a lovely brown bronze patina.  The reddish copper base shows signs of use and is signed on the underside with the Chinese mark of the Xuande Emperor (1426 - 1435) of the Ming dynasty; known in Japan as Sen Toku.  This antique, bronze Suiban planter stands 3/4" high x 14" wide and 7 3/4" deep and will make a wonderful planter to admire when used with the proper Kado “way of flowers” floral arrangement as well as a Bonsai pot.  What a great find for the vintage and antique Asian bronze art collector!
