All pieces are marked in an arch,“Germany” on bottom with an arched underline. One cup has a stain on the inside that looks like a burn stain & one saucer has a similar smaller mark on the back of it. This RARE, vintage German-marked demitasse set (four 2 oz. cups, four saucers, & creamer) is made of fine porcelain with significant & rich gold plating. It has purple grapes and white roses with greenery decorating 2 sides of the espresso cup and on the inside of cup as well. Creamer has floral and fruit decoration on front and back. All pieces are marked in an arch,“Germany” on bottom with an arched underline. The tea cup is footed with a pedestal-base and has an oblong rim with scalloped edge all around. The saucer has small scalloped edges all around, too. One cup has a stain on the inside that looks like a burn stain & one saucer has a similar smaller mark on the back of it. All of the saucers have scratches that show much use. From afar, you cannot tell. They display beautifully. There are places, such as the creamer handle, where the gilding has worn off and white enamel is showing. Please see pics. This set is a miniature work of art made with exquisite craftsmanship.
