Wonderful, very high quality, vintage (c. 1920s-30s) Mexican handmade silver pin/brooch that is extensively chased and engraved with Aztec designs, including a warrior figure and set with a single turquoise cabochon near the top. A scalloped edge completes the complex design. A splendid and beautiful example of the exquisite craftsmanship of the era. No markings other than a 930, which indicates a silver content a bit higher than sterling. Measures 2" diameter and weighs approximately 17 grams.
