The wood looks very good. The drawer slides as it should. All hardware appears original. Door does not stay locked. The last photo shows the lower left-hand side of the front. Please note there is a piece of trim where the grain looks different. I can't imagine this is a repair as it looks flawless as to the fit. But wanted to point it out.) Please read condition description for further details. The tools are a mix of Stanley and others from the era, including a very nice Starrett divider and a 4" Sargent plane. I do not know how many of the tools were in the set originally. I did look carefully at the catalog page that is included in the auction and a some do seem at least close to what came in the set originally. Most were in the box when I bought it at an amazing estate sale of an antique tool collector. A few I put in when I got it. Tools included are: Stanley No. 64 mortise marking gauge Stanley NO. 136 brass and wood 4" ruler Stanley No. 36 6" folding brass and wood ruler Stanley 4" square, all metal. One side is very hard to read, either by wear or rust. Small steel mallet, about 7 1/2" long. There is writing stamped into the handle but I can't read what it says. Stanley No. 11 2/32 nail set Stanley No. 36 12" level Bottom has what looks like felt pen that says "as is 30.00."12" Keyhole saw. No maker info on the blade. Underneath of handle someone has written "72.19.1" Stanley No. 25 10" sliding T-bevel gauge. Engraved on one side of brass, "music." Stanley No 70 box scraper Stanley No 51 spoke shave Stanley Rule and Level Co. Pat. 6.71 flat blade screwdriver 7" overall length 10 1/2" flat blade cabinet maker screwdriver. This appears to be a Stanley. I can't quite read the engraving but this screwdriver shares details of the above Stanley one. 6" flat blade cabinetmakers screwdriver. No maker mark that I can see. 4 1/2" flat blade cabinetmakers screwdriver. No maker mark that I can see. 4" Sargent plane, No. 2204 2 Keys to cabinet lock Antique brace drill. No name that I can see, but very well made. The wood on the handle is secured with fine wire, which I doubt was original. Zenith No. 4 bit L.S.Starrett Divider/Compass Scribe Pencil Pat. Sep 24 1889 (This is a really nice tool with value of its own. It was in the tool chest when I got it so have left it in for the auction.)
