The word is written both vertically & horizontally, & so allows for orientation either way, portrait or landscape, as does the kickstand easel. The word "family" is stamped into the wood, with a slight indent & a darker appearance over the natural pine color. A nice wooden frame, featuring the word "Family", repeated several times around the border. The frame is sized for a 4" x 6" photo, & has a simple pine wood color with a low lustre sheen, vanished but not glossy. The word "family" is stamped into the wood, with a slight indent & a darker appearance over the natural pine color.  The backside has a removable easel panel, made of thin black wood. It has 4 sliding tabs (one per side) to hold the glass in. There are also 2 small hanging tabs on the backing, allowing for hanging in either direction.  This frame is pre-owned & does have some surface scuffing & small scratches, consistent with use. Tiny little dings that mostly seem to blend in well or almost disappear, within the light coloring of the wood. Nothing major, overall it's in really good condition! The glass is clear & intact, with no scratching or chipping. The back (black) panel has the most apparent & visible wear, some light surface scratches & scuffing around the easel leg mostly. Nothing very drastic. These marks can be seen in my photos, so please do take a look. I have included 2 close up pictures to show the indent of the word(s) in the wood, & also to show the most prominent of the small scratches/dings. They appear a bit exaggerated in the close up photos, they do not seem so obvious in the average setting, so please keep that zoom factor in mind!   Condition: Used.
