The central painting is surrounded by a cobalt blue and gold jeweled border with four medallion portraits of women. The center artwork, Titled "Lohengrin Swan Lake" is by Hilda Hayson. This Authentic piece bears the iconic green backstamp, Makers Mark of Victoria Austria on the underside. The Plate is 8 1/2" diameter and weighs 11oz. This style is characteristic of late 19th to early 20th century European porcelain workshop factorys.  The Cener Art. The Image appears on this late 19th century to early 20th-century decorative plate produced by Victoria Austria, featuring artwork titled "Lohengrin Swan Lake" by Hilda Hayson. The scene depicts a legendary knight from a Richard Wagner's opera, arriving in a boat pulled by a swan to defend a damsel. The knight is identified as Lohengrin, a legendary grail knight from German literature.  The Vienna Austria Makers Mark, Backstamp is a Green Crown and “Vienna” right below it. Features a deep Cobalt Blue with intricate raised Gilding. Circa 1891 to 1910 with a hand painted center Vignette of the the square tower of the historic Kilchurn Castle.
