I'm pretty positive this head was dyed black before I received it (scrapes inside the throat reveal a white color). It's in good condition considering its age: no cracks, stress lines, or breaks. It does have some scrapes on the scoop, scrapes inside the throat from putting it on shafts, and normal wear and tear from play.
