I don't know what the green colored material is but it's covered in an acrylic material. Gold color scalloping covers the shell & it's all topped off with a gold bow. VINTAGE TURTLE-SHELL SHAPED NECKLACE ~ GOLD COLOR CHAIN.  This  necklace has been stored for more than 20 years & is in very nice pre-owned condition.  The pendant is almost turtle-shell shaped.  I don't know what the green colored material is but it's covered in an acrylic material.  Gold color scalloping covers the shell & it's all topped off with a gold bow.  There is a small circle within a slightly larger circle jeweler's mark on the clasp.  It reminds me of a target or bull's eye.   Any colors on jewelry are reflections.    There is no tarnishing on this necklace.   We do not clean or repair jewelry.
