PLEASE FURTHER NOTE: I do not accept payments through Pay Pal, whether it be Internationally or within the U.S. This is a stunning Antique Hand Painted Vase, with a blue beehive mark or shield, commonly referred to as Royal Vienna. These were produced in Austria, as well as Germany. The artist has titled this on the bottom underneath as Unschuld; which in German translates to Innocence. In German, Unschuld was used to describe childlike; naive or pure. This is a magnificent portrait of a blond haired, blue eyed beauty. Done on a cobalt background with gold raised tracery decoration and gold trim, this is sure to stand out in any collection. I've always liked hand painted portraits of quality that were uncommon. I've never seen another of this subject in the 40 years I'm collecting antiques. I'm a third generation collector, having caught "the bug" at a young age from my late Grandmother (born in the 1900's) & my late Mother (born in the nineteen-hundred-teens). Quality Hand Painted Portraits were favorites of ours. This is the only one of this subject we've owned. I'm not saying it's the only one; just that in my experience, it is rare. The cobalt & raised gold combination just add to the richness & quality of this piece. Please note: I just noticed after placing this up that a good number of my photos show the thick gold band that circles or frames the portrait has a large area on the left-hand side that appears green instead of gold. In hopes of shielding some of the light/glare/reflections, I tilted a green clipboard to block some of the light; but I now see that reflected onto the gold on the vase in some of the photos. That is only in the photos; not on the vase itself. The thick gold band that outlines the portrait is all solid gold in color. I hope you can see in other photos, it is all gold; not green. None of my photos do it the true justice it deserves. Please be sure to click on each to enlarge. I've included a video of this stunning vase. Please excuse the glare & reflections from lights.  Her face is not only beautiful, but she has the most soulful expressive eyes. Her features are highly detailed. She is just exquisite.  Please excuse reflections of light, glare & other objects as it was hard to photograph & impossible not get any of that in the pictures. Any white spots or areas, as well as black or dark spots are from light, sun, & reflections only in the picture; not on the item itself. I take photos in different rooms; in different areas & with different lighting in an effort to get the best photos, but none of them are great unfortunately. The colors are all crisp; absolutely nothing on this vase is faded. There is some wear to the gold trim at the rim of the vase, as well as at the base. This is typical for an antique vase of over 100 years old; certainly typical & to be expected. Very minor; in no way detracts from this stunning vase. The piece is far more magnificent in person. The cobalt is shiny & was impossible to photograph without getting reflections on it; same with the gold. I took pictures in different rooms with different lighting at different times of day. The vase stands at approximately 7" Tall; just a hair off; & is approximately 6.75" (6-3/4") Wide. Toward the left side of this beauty, there are two tiny lines; like "dashes"; literally if you took the point of a needle or  pin & made the tiniest, lightest of scratches; one in her hair & one on her face, next to the lower part of her cheek. On the right side of her face, there are two of these thin lines as well; again, one in her hair & one on her cheek. Hardly noticeable; surely in no way detracts from this magnificent piece. Everything in our photos is enlarged so they are more prominent & noticeable, as everything is exaggerated. This is so minor, & again, is typical & to be expected for an antique of 100+ yrs old. Mentioned purely for accuracy. In my last two photos, I have pointed these out. In one photo, I have made a large red circle around each of these marks (my circles are way larger than the marks themselves); in the other photo, I pointed to each of these marks making a red arrow. The rest of the portrait is what I would literally call pristine or flawless; though I hate to call any 100+ year old antique such. It's really in remarkable condition. This was well cared for; I can vouch for that when I purchased it, looking at it's condition, as well as since I owned it. Other than what is noted, both the portrait, as well as the cobalt & gold are all rich & in excellent overall condition. I use a black light to check all antiques to show touch-ups and/or repairs. Nothing fluoresces on this piece, indicating there weren't any repairs or touch-ups. I also use a jeweler's loupe with an LED light & 40Xs magnification to examine everything.  This vase is what I would consider to be in overall excellent antique used condition, along with what is noted. This hand painted portrait vase is absolutely stunning; the cobalt & gold combination rich & elegant. It will definitely be loved, cherished and admired for years & is sure to not only be the focal point of any collection but definitely a favorite of the owner. Please keep in mind my photos are enlarged when I take the pictures, so everything looks worse/exaggerated in them. This is a magnificent, high quality antique; obviously expertly hand painted by one of the premier portrait painters of their time. The portrait is in excellent condition. Other than what is mentioned, this stunning piece is in excellent used antique condition. Expertly done, this is truly a work of art. Even taking into consideration the minor small light scratches, I am pricing this way below it's value. I will still consider reasonable offers. Note: I do not charge for handling, nor materials.
