These are a bit of a mystery to us, we don't know if they are Bakelite or a later plastic. For these reasons we are not representing these as Bakelite but feel confident they are mid-century probably from the mid-1960s mini skirt mod era. Adorable pair of well made vintage clip on bright white oblong oval hoops. These are a bit of a mystery to us, we don't know if they are Bakelite or a later plastic. The construction leans toward Bakelite with the drilled clip clasp, but they have absolutely no signs of oxidation that is usually found on white Bakelite. We tested with Simichrome paste and there was a light beige residue but it was a different color than what we're used to seeing when testing Bakelite. For these reasons we are not representing these as Bakelite but feel confident they are mid-century probably from the mid-1960s mini skirt mod era. They'll look great paired with summer fluorescents in every color. They're also light weight and easy to wear.  Condition: Pre-owned - Good.
