The orange Amber stones were sourced from the Baltic States. I am not an expert on amber and actually suspected that due to the light weight of the necklace that it may not have been the real amber it was represented as. This necklace is part of an estate I personally inherited. It was purchased in 2004 on a tour of Eastern Europe, Ukraine, and Russia. But, the first test to prove if amber is real or fake involves checking to see if it glows under a black light. As a collector of glass that glows, that was easy to do. I am delighted that every necklace in the lot with the exception of one has proven to be real. Check the photos for authenticity. I stated it was new but technically it is unworn new old stock. I removed it from a no nonsense plastic bag, it has never been worn. This vintage necklace features faceted and round amber beads with sliced cognac amber beads as an accent. The necklace is 17 1/2" inches long, and the closure is a beaded screw closure. The orange Amber stones were sourced from the Baltic States. The necklace is perfect for various occasions such as Mother's Day, graduation, Christmas, anniversaries, birthdays, and Valentine's Day.
