VINTAGE 1970s ERA, SIGNED DEC - DONALD BRUCE & CO., CHICAGO, IL, USA, STERLING SILVER 925 WITH RHODIUM PLATING AND DIAMOND ACCENT, OPENWORK FILIGREE, BUTTERFLY INSECT SYMBOL, SPRING RING CLASP, CURB LINK CHAIN, YOUTH / SMALL PETITE ADULT SIZED PENDANT NECKLACE SET NO PERSONAL MONOGRAMS OR ENGRAVINGS, NECKLACE MEASURES 17" LONG, LINKS ARE 1/32" WIDE, PENDANT MEASURES 1/2" x 9/16", TOTAL WEIGHT OF 2.8 GRAMS Shows light wear from use and handling, including surface marks and scratches.  It has been gently hand polished and ultrasonic cleaned in a mild dish soap, and it has nice shine, and is very clean.  It is straight, not bent out of shape, diamond accent has nice color and clarity, necklace clasp is tight and secure, has no personal monograms or engravings, with no major issues at all. Both the back of the pendant and necklace clasp end are hallmarked STER with the letters DEC, mark for historic and listed USA fine jewelry maker, Donald Bruce & Co. of Chicago, Illinois.  They are known for their women's costume and fine jewelry, as well as the more well known Princess Pride Creations brand, sold in major American retail stores.  Accent stone was tested with a Gemlogis Ciel tester and confirmed diamond. HISTORICAL FOOTNOTE:   The last photo shown was taken from the US Patent and Trademark Office and completely documents this mark and maker.
