A stunning authentic Mid-Century Japanese art glass handkerchief vase attributed to renowned glass artist Toshichi Iwata . The sticker is no longer attached to the one currently being sold; however, this is an authentic Toschichi Iwata vase.  An authentic vintage Iwata Glass Tokyo hand-blown art glass handkerchief vase in the classic red and white marbled colorway. This sculptural Mid-Century Modern design features the dramatic freeform ruffled rim for which Iwata Glass became internationally recognized. Comparable examples retain the original Iwata Glass Tokyo foil label (see reference image), confirming this design originates from the renowned Japanese glass studio established by master glass artist Toshichi Iwata (1893–1980) . This beautiful example features dramatic flowing red glass cascading over an opaque white body, finished with a deeply ruffled freeform rim. Every angle displays different movement in the glass, making it an exceptional sculptural centerpiece even when displayed without flowers. Iwata was one of Japan's most influential twentieth-century glass artists and helped establish modern Japanese studio art glass. His organic handkerchief forms remain among his most recognizable and collectible designs.
