Large vintage ceramic Toby-style character jug/pitcher featuring a seated gentleman wearing a dramatic black hat, burgundy coat, yellow trousers and black boots. The figure is seated in a yellow chair and holds a colorful object at his side. The figural design forms the pitcher, with the opening incorporated into the gentleman’s hat and a large handle extending down the back. Hand-painted in rich burgundy, yellow, black, cream, blue and orange tones. A substantial decorative piece measuring approximately 10.5” tall.
