The tray is finished with a pierced (reticulated) brass gallery rim in a scrolling design and two sturdy solid brass loop handles. Beautiful vintage Italian 12” round serving/vanity tray featuring a hand-inlaid floral marquetry design — a bouquet of roses and leaves rendered in contrasting light and dark wood tones (satinwood, walnut, and rosewood-style veneers) set against a chevron/herringbone book-matched wood ground. The tray is finished with a pierced (reticulated) brass gallery rim in a scrolling design and two sturdy solid brass loop handles. The top surface has a glossy protective lacquer/resin coating that gives it depth and shine. The underside is finished in a rich mahogany-tone wood with felt bumper pads for tabletop protection (some pad wear/residue visible, see photos). Great for use as a decorative serving tray, vanity/dresser tray, or bar tray — a classic piece of 1950s–1960s Italian design.
