Vintage Tonala Mexican pottery owl figurine featuring a whimsical oversized-eye design and hand-painted floral decoration. Beautiful traditional Mexican folk art styling with a muted lavender/gray ground accented in orange, cream and black. The front features the owl's large expressive eyes, while the reverse is decorated with an elaborate hand-painted floral motif. The underside is hand marked "MEX" along with what appear to be the artist's initials "S.R." Exact artist is unknown. Measures approximately 5 inches tall. Please see ruler photo for scale.
