Lot eBay 104-2.  It has been a beautiful summer here on the Oregon coast, with the Pacific Ocean as the back-drop to a very relaxed style of living.  A little cooler than normal, but it has been hotter than normal just about everywhere else.  So, let's take a look at some "cool" new listings that would compliment any summer wardrobe.  I wish I could keep all of my favorite cameos, especially the antique cameos in all of their different varied design techniques.  This brooch features a gilded brass Art Deco period frame, with an early version of the modern clasp.  The cameo is formed with an intaglio or reverse cut design so the cameo face is either impressed or poured glass, covered with fine (gold)gilding, so when you see it from the front, it appears to be a raised figure.  Around the edges of the cameo, a different treatment was used to form a slightly different silvery outline for the cameo.  It is dome shaped on the front.  The frame is an Art Deco period gilded brass setting.  The clasp is an early version of the modern style clasp, but as you can see from the photos, it appears heavier, and it is still very functional. The outside measurement of the oval brooch is 2 1/4 inches tall by 1 3/4 inches wide--this is a must buy for the serious cameo brooch collector, as well as adding to your collection, you would add to your jewelry wardrobe,  Just remember to not put it in the washing machine or get the reverse side of the cameo wet, as the finish can be damaged.  See photos and study them well before you decide to buy--the brooch is returnable, but if the cameo is damaged in any way, the return will not be accepted, and a refund will not be possible.  A very lovely piece of antique jewelry!    All items, upon sale, are individually wrapped, packaged securely to avoid damage during shipping, then  shipped via USPS First Class mail.  Insurance is included in the shipping and handling fees. If I can tell that a repair has been made, I will tell you in the listing.  Do not expect complete perfection unless that is expressly stated.  Also, if you are bidding or planning to bid on more than one item to take advantage of the great savings in shipping costs, you will need to contact me to let me know.  I am happy to combine shipping separate lots, but I am not a mind reader, nor is it easy to tell, unless the bidding is ended, whether a buyer is involved in more than one bid, unless they are winning. Condition: The brooch shows a small amount of wear commensurate with its' age, as it is most likely over 100 years old. There is a minor amount of spotting, surface scratching, just from general use and or storage conditions over the years. The reverse cut glass cameo is in excellent antique condition, as the gilding of the goddess character shows no wear, while the remainder of the glass background has a sall amount of spotting.
