View 5 ANTIQUE CHINESE JUVENILE SPORTS BLUE & WHITE TRANSFERWARE PLATES -1830s-1880s with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. These antique plates are usually attributed to Thomas Barlow who was active from 1849-1882 in Staffordshire, England. The blue color is actually a bit lighter than shown in the photos. The front and back of the plates are numbered, to give you an idea of the condition of each individual plate. 5 ANTIQUE "CHINESE JUVENILE SPORTS" PATTERN BLUE & WHITE TRANSFERWARE PLATES The pattern name, as seen on the back of the plates is "Chinese Juvenile Sports B," done in blue transferware. The plates measure about 10-1/2" in diameter. Due to their age (c. 150 years) , they have some scratches, crazing, and chips  (see photos) . The blue color is actually a bit lighter than shown in the photos. The front and back of the plates are numbered, to give you an idea of the condition of each individual plate. Details are listed below: #1 - several chips on front rim, a few minor chips on the bottom rim, no chips on bottom ring #2 - 2 very small flea bites on front rim, several minor chips on bottom rim, 1 chip on bottom ring #3 - 1 spot on front with glaze chipped off, 1 chip on bottom rim, 5 chips on bottom ring, several rough spots (glaze missing) on rim #4 - 3 large chips on bottom ring, several flea bites around bottom rim #5 - 6 or 7 small chips on bottom rim, several chips on bottom ring Please review photos and ask any questions before purchasing; we will be happy to answer them.
