This is a vintage German Gänseliesl or Goose Girl porcelain figurine manufactured in Germany by Porzellanfabrik Carl Scheidig KG. Based on the iron red crowned eagle stamp on the underside, its period of manufacture is anywhere from 1935 - 1972 when the factory was nationalized by the East German government. The figurine depicts a curly haired farm girl with a carrot in her apron and her goose in attendance. It is hand painted in shades of orange, green and blue.
