View Antique German Cast Iron Christmas Tree Stand with Pinecones/Branch circa 1900 with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. This is an original antique German 1890s-1910s heavy cast iron Christmas tree stand brought from the Black Forest region by our grandfather that belonged to his parents. We treated it more of a display piece from our family history than actual use. Lancaster County Treasures has been a family homestead since the early 1900s.     Everything that we sell has some ties to a family member from our grandparents’ time up to the present and has been used (or not used) within our celebrations and/or traditions.     We have made the decision to downsize our collectibles and offer family heirlooms for sale to start traditions with other families with the hope that they will bring as much joy to you as they have to us. This is an original antique German 1890s-1910s heavy cast iron Christmas tree stand brought from the Black Forest region by our grandfather that belonged to his parents.  It retains the metallic patina (silver) with brown & green paint (original, not retouched) and antique thumb screws in very good condition with reflective silver patina (tree needles) and considering the age of this piece is remarkable.  We treated it more of a display piece from our family history than actual use. It measures 11.25" in width, 8" height, and the tree opening is 1.75".  The 4 German sayings one on each side are:  Christmas Time, Happy, Blessed, and Bring Grace Here.  There is no damage, repairs or breaks to the cast iron and has never been "touched-up" to the original piece.  This piece is substantial in weight.  This is an exceptional, historical piece of art/craftsmanship and is beautifully detailed.  I hope the photos do it justice; I cannot express how beautiful this is!  From our family for over 100 years to your family for another century!
