The first Oktoberfest was held in Munich in 1810 to celebrate the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig to Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen. 2021 Oktoberfest Munich Stein This item is an Oktoberfest Stein produced for the Munich, Germany Oktoberfest in 2021.   The first Oktoberfest was held in Munich in 1810 to celebrate the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig to Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen.  It is a much anticipated event with several million people attending over two weeks each year. Sadly, like 2020, the Oktoberfest was not held in Munich in 2021 due to the pandemic.  Some steins were still produced by Rastal, and the item being sold here is one of them.   A colorful stein is produced each year by Rastal.  Most of the steins are produced without lids but a small percentage are produced with a pewter lid.  The one being sold here is the one without a lid.   The 2021 design has a yellow background with iconic Oktoberfest items...lebkuchen heart, pretzels, and beer. The 1 liter stein is approximately 7 1/4 inches tall, and is in excellent new and unused condition.   It weighs 2 pounds and 9 ounces, and is signed by the artist on the bottom. I have a complete set of all Munich Oktoberfest steins issued from the first year of steins in 1978 to the most recent year of 2022.  I was unable to sell the collection as a set so I am now selling each stein separately.  Contact me if you are looking for a specific stein from the series.
