This pla ne is in "as found" in excellent condition and I have only been wiped down. I am offering for sale today this Good User Vintage Stanley Bailey No 3 Type 11, 1910-18 Bench Plane Inv#JS31 Here we have a fine condition Stanley Bailey No 3 Type 19 Ca. 1948-61 smooth plane. This pla ne is in "as found" in excellent condition and I have only been wiped down. It is now ready to go.... The notched cutter reads: Stanley USA.  It measures: 7-1/4" x 1-3/4". I always suggest sharpening to get it back to an optimal cutting edge.   Stanley is horizontal on the lateral adjustment lever.  The knob has no issues, the tote has a chip off tip and a repair by previous owners. I am not sure if the cutter, cap or knob is original to the plane.  ( It is in "as found" condition. It has been sitting a workbench for over several decades just waiting to go to work for you.... PLEASE NOTE: I DO NOT true-up soles or sharpen cutters, I leave that up to you, the expert.. . This is a Stanley No3 smooth plane that is in good usable condition with lots of life left.   Condition - Antique, Used, may have minor surface dents, pitting, dings or corrosion.  As described above and illustrated in all the photos.  Selling AS IS, AS SHOWN. I am offering today a FINE USER  Vintage Stanley Bailey No 3 Type 9  1902-07 Bench Plane Inv#LK04W This Stanley No 3 Type 9 Ca 1902-07 Made in USA bench smooth plane has been taken apart and gently restored to present condition. There are two patent dates behind frog: Mar 20.02 & Aug 19.02. The plane's japanning is is good condition except for few spots where it is worn. It has the horizontal Stanley with Patent date 7.24.88 on the adjustable lever. It has an early Stanley keyhole lever cap. The knob has some nicks & dings but NO CRACKS OR REPAIRS. The tote has an early repair at base and it has a piece carved out of the handle with the number 45 inscribed into it. (see last photo).  The sole and cheeks have some signs of pitting & scratches but have cleaned up nicely.  The cutter has the Stanley logo Pat'd '92.  It measures: 6-1/8L x 1-3/4" W. I always suggest sharpening the cutter to get it back to an optimal cutting edge.  There is Bailey behind knob and the No 3 in front of knob. “Photos are an integral part of this item's description.
