The light blue pixie on the front was attached using a wire so there may be minor rust around that area. 1960s Large Pixie Elf Knee Huggers w/Basket-Rare Bluish Grey & Red Lot of 4 A Kitschy Christmas delight!  Dolls are vintage knee hugger pixies, a style that became popular in the 1950s and 1960s. These dolls are made of felt or velour-like fabric, with bendable arms and legs so they could "hug" their knees when posed. This is a nice combination of colors. The basket is marked JAPAN. Children would collect these baskets and decorate with their favorite holiday items. This one has a few extra items attached, including a clip-on holiday Santa baby.  Two in a light blue or grey outfit and the other two in the traditional red.  The pixie on the front of the basket measures approximately 7.5 inches long. The larger pixies are approximately 12 inches long with legs tucked up. They are approximately 20 inches long with legs stretched out (that is an estimate). The red pixie without a hat has a black mark on the back on the bottom and on the back the hat (see photos). The top hats of the other two are cardboard and have some bends, wear and tear. The light blue pixie on the front was attached using a wire so there may be minor rust around that area. The clip on baby Santa is missing a boot. We ship the next business day.
