This highly collectible boutique piece features a charming, heavily detailed turtle perched atop a beautiful, four-footed oval base. The base showcases an intricate, openwork scallop/scale filigree pattern that perfectly complements the turtle motif. True to the iconic Hollywood Regency revival style of Dan Kasoff Inc., the turtle’s shell is adorned with five vibrant turquoise glass cabochons and crowned with a large, smooth turquoise centerpiece. Tiny, glinting ruby-red rhinestone eyes give this little turtle a wonderful, lifelike personality. Important Design & Authenticity Details:     •    100% Authentic: Features the crisp, early "FLORENZA" all-caps block stamp inside the lid, and on the back of the base. Because it lacks the post-1955 copyright symbol, this is a verified early-era production from 1950–1954.     •    Original Lift-Off Lid: Designed originally with a completely removable, snug lift-off lid (not hinged).     •    Factory Finish: Made of a heavy cast white metal enamel alloy finished with an intentional, factory-applied antiqued white and gold wash.  Some chipping in the enamel - turtle nose and tail, inside and outside edges of lid, see pictures. Excellent vintage condition! The piece is entirely structurally sound with no cracks or broken filigree. The lift-off lid sits flush and secure. Most importantly, all stones are 100% original and intact—no missing faux turquoise or red rhinestones. The original antiqued paint patina shows beautiful, gentle age character appropriate for a 70+ year old vanity treasure.
