The piece features a design of two birds perched gracefully amidst floral motifs, including prominent peonies and other blossoms, set against a blue background detailed with subtle wave-like patterns. The body's central theme is framed by bands of stylized foliage and geometric patterns in contrasting colors. Its flared neck and the robust flared base are adorned with complementary geometric and stylized floral bands meticulously outlined by fine brass wires. The traditional technique of cloisonné, involving the intricate placement of fine metal wires to form compartments that are then filled with various colored enamel paste and fired. As a decorative art object, it reflects traditional Chinese aesthetic principles and the skilled artistry of the early 20th century. Overall very good condition with some tarnish; as photographed.
