We looked high and low for the maker and pattern of this set, they are the shape of Hocking's Optic Block with their right-angled handles, slightly ribbed sides and tapered pedestal bases. Vintage Pink Depression Glass | Creamer & Sugar Set | Etched Floral: 5 Stylized Flower Stems on Each Side | 1930s | Art Deco | Approx. 4" Tall | RARE This beautiful sugar and creamer set, with its etched floral patterns and pedestal base, is characteristic of the Art Deco style produced in the United States from the 1920s through the 1940s, during the Great Depression. The delicate pink color and the etched designs, such as the flowers on long stems all around, were intended to mimic more expensive cut glass, making it an affordable luxury for many households during a time of economic hardship. These sets were commonly used for serving with tea or coffee. We looked high and low for the maker and pattern of this set, they are the shape of Hocking's Optic Block with their right-angled handles, slightly ribbed sides and tapered pedestal bases. In fact, there are quite a few manufacturer's that use this Art Deco shape, Jeanette Glass, MacBeth Evans, Anchor Hocking to name a few. But we do not see anything with these exact etched stylized floral stems on each of the sides making this a RARE set and quite the unicorn. CONDITION: Preowned. The set, in whole, is in great shape, no cracks or chips around the tops where you usually find them. We noticed the creamer had a not quite round base on one side. Upon further inspection, we see it may have been chipped.  Although small chips, rough edges, and slight warping on the base are normal and indicate age, the creamer on this set, looks as though it was chipped and grinded down, but done very well, it is hardly noticeable.
