Historical Design & Origin: This piece was manufactured as a faithful tribute to a famous circa 1900 original crafted by the renowned Fraget Workshop in Warsaw, Poland. While the original antique (famously documented in prominent Judaica archives) was forged in silver, this 1960s Israeli reproduction is crafted from lightweight stamped metal. It beautifully preserves the magnificent structural design and intricate details originally created by the master silversmiths of pre-war Poland. Construction & Features: Unique Structure: Unlike solid cast pieces, this Mezuzah features a clever two-piece construction (front and back plates) held together by a securing pin. The pin allows the case to be opened easily to insert or remove a parchment scroll. Design: Elegantly sculpted in the shape of a traditional Torah scroll. Display Window: Features a large center opening specifically designed to display the parchment, currently revealing the word "שדי" (Shaddai) from the internal display scroll.
