This is a pair of Laurel Birch tribal face or mask earrings with sire hooks for pierced ears.   The earrings are 1 1/2 inches x 1 1/4 inches.   The masks or faces are colors of green, red, pink and purple with horizontal colorful lines also painted on the backs of the earrings. Hand painted, artisan. These are not signed on the back, but this type of wooden earring typically had a white label with her name to indicate her brand.   While she is most famous for her "Fantastic Felines," she produced a significant line of tribal -inspired wood carvings in the 1980s and 90s, often manufactured in Indonesia.     • Artist: Laurel Burch • Origin: Made in Indonesia (carved and hand-painted).
