From the fabric types and the stitching, I think these are mostly fairly old, with some fabrics that look to be early 1900s. All hand pieced, and some with the thicker thread that indicates older stitching to me. Some of the plaids look newer to my eye, though still vintage, certainly. The blocks look like they were intended to finish around seven inches across, but there is a fair bit of wonkiness, so please do not expect perfect squares. The individual cut patches are mostly of a suitable size to go along with the nine patches, but they range from under 2.5 inches to 3.25 inches, so some will be short. I randomly checked several of the blue fabrics, and they do rub off color on a white cloth, so I believe they are indigo.
