Vintage Edna Looney Christmas Stocking Ivory  Fur Trim  MCM Lady Robe Tea & Cat  I don't know when this was made but this is a beyond incredible Mid Century styled Edna Looney Christmas stocking!!!  The exquisite  details send it over the top!!!   A beautiful ivory velvet stocking featuring a MCM lady.  She is wearing her red velvet, white trimmed lounging robe.  This robe is 3D and you can place stuffing (a tissue has been used) to give it dimension.  Peeking out from the robe are gold lame' slippers with green sequin accents.  A sleepy cat on the toe with a green sequin bow.  This gal is having or serving coffee with brown felt & gold lame' coffee pot and cup & saucer.  A gold bead for the pots lid.  Gold beads are also used for her earrings and bracelet.  Her up-do has a red satin ribbon.  Above her head is a felt Christmas wreath accented with sequins, beads and a vintage berry strand.   These things alone make this incredible but the top cuff is actually real fur.  This goes all around.  On top of that is an ivory sequin & beaded trim with a loop for hanging.  I have seen different renditions of this piece but none have real fur trim!!!  Someone very talented has created a one of a kind piece! In excellent vintage condition!!!  The only issue I see is minor and an easy fix.  The back of the stockings fur is a bit loose and easily tacked down.  This would make an awesome detail to your Mid Century home at Christmas or a enviable gift to that special retro style loving person!!!
