The inside shows heavy age-related discoloration, residue and worn interior finish/tinning. There are visible seams, soldered areas and construction marks consistent with an older hand-worked copper vessel. Vintage hand-hammered copper ewer / coffee or water pot with a long curved spout, hinged domed lid and metal handle. The body has a bulbous lower section with a tall narrow neck and visible hand-hammered texture throughout. Measures approximately 10” tall, 4.5” across the bottom/body area, and about 8” from handle to end of spout. The piece shows notable wear from age and use, including patina, oxidation, tarnish, discoloration, scratches, darkened areas and surface wear throughout. The inside shows heavy age-related discoloration, residue and worn interior finish/tinning. There are visible seams, soldered areas and construction marks consistent with an older hand-worked copper vessel. There are song deep dents on both lower sides. The tip of the spout has noticeable damage/splitting and wear as shown in the photos. There are also dents and surface imperfections to the body, along with wear around the lid, hinge, handle and foot. The hinged lid still opens and closes. No maker mark was found. Exact age and country of origin are unknown, so it is being described conservatively as a vintage Middle Eastern style hand-hammered copper ewer.
