Item Description:  An exquisite Edwardian-era bone china teacup and saucer set featuring a scalloped rim, cobalt blue border with gilded fleur-de-lis accents, and delicate hand-painted floral swags. The cup is designed with an elegant, angular gilded handle that showcases the high-quality craftsmanship of the historic Staffordshire potteries. "Cauldon Ltd, England" is stamped on the bottom of both items. The saucer is about 6" in diameter. Together they stand about 3" tall. Origin/Maker:  Cauldon Ltd. traces its roots back to the famous Job Ridgway, who established the Cauldon Place Works in 1802. Renowned for producing exceptionally fine bone china that rivaled Minton and Worcester, the firm went through several name changes, becoming Cauldon Ltd.  from  1905 to 1920 placing this item in that range. Collectability:  Made in England's famous Potteries district during the early 1900s, this set survived the transition from Victorian opulence to Edwardian elegance. The hand-painted pattern number on the base connects it to a specific artisan's workbench. Condition:  The set is in excellent antique condition with no visible chips, cracks, or crazing.
