Beautiful 16-piece vintage Italian aqua/teal blue stemware set, attributed to the Empoli glassmaking region of Italy, circa 1960s–1970s. This coordinated service for eight includes: * 8 tall goblets – approximately 7 1/4” tall * 8 champagne coupe / dessert / sherbet glasses – approximately 5 1/4” tall × 4” across The glasses have a wonderfully simple Mid-Century Modern silhouette with smooth cylindrical bowls, slender stems and broad circular feet. The glass is a striking saturated aqua/teal blue throughout. The set displays characteristics consistent with handmade/blown vintage Italian glass, including occasional tiny trapped air bubbles and subtle variations associated with the manufacturing process. These are especially visible when the glass is held to the light and add to the handmade character of the pieces. Condition: Very good vintage condition. No chips, flea bites or cracks.
