Beautiful vintage Royal Halsey “Very Fine” footed teacup and matching saucer, featuring a colorful fruit motif against an iridescent blue-gray/seafoam luster background. The decoration includes colorful apples, pears, grapes and other fruit, accented by foliage and extensive gold detailing. The footed teacup features: • Pearlescent/luster interior • Fruit decoration inside and outside • Ornate gold-tone handle • Gold-trimmed rim and pedestal foot The coordinating saucer features repeating fruit clusters, gold leaf accents, a wide luster border and gold trim. The underside of the saucer bears the Royal Halsey “Very Fine” crown backstamp with L M, associated with Lipper & Mann. This fruit/luster pattern is commonly identified by collectors and replacement references as Royal Halsey RHY1. Approximate measurements are shown in the photographs. The saucer measures approximately 6 inches in diameter, and the cup stands approximately 3½ inches tall. The cup and saucer retain their beautiful blue-gray/seafoam iridescent luster finish and colorful fruit decoration. There is noticeable wear, fading and loss to the gold decoration, particularly around the upper rim of the cup and portions of the saucer border. Additional light surface marks and signs of age/use may be present. No major chips or cracks are apparent in the photographs.
