Beautiful antique Hand Painted Nippon porcelain condiment/serving set, dating to the early 20th century. The set features a graceful molded porcelain serving tray decorated with delicate pink and lavender flowers, green foliage, soft shaded background colors and gold gilt accents. The tray incorporates fitted areas holding two removable pieces: • Small handled creamer/sauce pitcher • Covered condiment or mustard pot with lid The larger open section of the tray provides a serving area for food, relishes, hors d’oeuvres or accompaniments. The molded handle and scalloped edges give the piece an especially elegant presentation, while gold trim highlights the rims, handle and individual serving pieces. The underside bears a green Hand Painted Nippon backstamp. Approximate tray measurement: 7½ inches across at the widest point There is noticeable wear/loss to portions of the gold gilt trim, particularly along edges, handles and other high-contact areas.
