One has been replaced with wood. Originally the trunk had leather side handles which are now missing leaving traces. The lock plate/hasp are also brass. The key is not included. Offered is a wonderful Antique Alligator hide Miniature Steamer Trunk in "as found" condition. It measures 14" x 10" x 9". There are wooden slats with escutcheons on the corners and black metal strapping that has decorative studs. In between is alligator hide. There are small metal wheels on the bottom. One has been replaced with wood. Originally the trunk had leather side handles which are now missing leaving traces. The hinges appear to be black metal. The inside hinge is brass colored metal. The lock plate/hasp are also brass. The key is not included. The inside is covered with a light colored canvas material. The inside tray is missing. A similar trunk was found that showed the same inside pieces in the cover. It appears to have been made for holding dolls and accessories.  Given its age and use, the overall condition is quite good original and not refinished condition. In addition to the condition issues remarked upon above there is some loss of the hide on the cover and back. The inside shows stains and is missing the lower piece of the storage inside of the cover.  Please look carefully at the photos.   Condition: Used Condition commensurate with age and use.
