Striking mixed-metal wall crucifix measuring approximately 10” tall x 5” wide. Features a sculptural silver-tone figure of Jesus mounted to a minimalist cross constructed from narrow flat metal bars. The corpus appears to be cast white metal/pewter-type material, with contrasting brass-tone rivets or fasteners at the hands, feet and attachment points. All metal components tested are nonmagnetic. Exact metal composition is unknown. The cross may be stainless steel or another silver-tone nonferrous metal; the corpus appears pewter/white metal and the gold-tone fasteners appear brass or brass-tone. Simple integrated hanging ring at the top. The elongated figure, spare geometric cross and exposed contrasting fasteners give the piece a distinctive Mid-Century Modern / Modernist appearance.
