Beautiful vintage Murano art glass fish sculpture, hand-blown in Italy and executed in the classic Sommerso technique with a striking ruby red core encased in warm amber and clear crystal glass. The flowing fins, sculptural form, and vibrant colors make this a wonderful example of mid-century Murano artistry. Whether displayed on a bookshelf, cocktail table, or illuminated by natural light, this piece catches and reflects light beautifully from every angle. Measurements: * Approximately 7½ inches long * Approximately 4¼ inches high Condition: Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. As expected with a handmade Murano glass sculpture, there are a few areas of factory roughness from the finishing process. The polished base also has one or two tiny rough spots along the edge that appear consistent with manufacturing and hand-finishing rather than damage. I’ve photographed these areas closely—please review the photos and judge for yourself. I’m quite particular about condition, and I do not find them distracting or detrimental to the display of the piece. A wonderful addition to any Murano, Italian art glass, mid-century modern, or vintage décor collection.
