Features a beautiful textured matte off-white ground decorated with hand-brushed black lines and colorful raised abstract details in primary blue, yellow, orange, and teal with a glossy dark brown glaze coating the interior. Vintage mid-century modern Carstens Tönnieshof art pottery vase, model 525-13. Made in West Germany during the 1950s/1960s. Features a beautiful textured matte off-white ground decorated with hand-brushed black lines and colorful raised abstract details in primary blue, yellow, orange, and teal with a glossy dark brown glaze coating the interior. Features a gorgeous hand-painted design with characteristic mid-century factory glaze crawling/skips in the center of the raised orange elements (exposed dark base coat from production, not post-factory damage). Measures 13cm (approx. 5.25 inches) tall. Bottom is embossed with the distinct form number "525-13" and the red-brown clay rim is exposed.
