Royal Dux Bohemia 1559 18.5" Wedded Young Lovers or Grecian Lovers Figural Group Aside for a 1/8" x 1/8" bald spot on the man's right elbow, PRISTINE condition with no nicks, chips, cracks or other damage.  Fingers & toes are all present & accounted for. *Figural group depicting  t wo Grecian lovers wrapped in an embrace, I've seen it titled "Wedded," Grecian Lovers," "Young Lovers" & then just "Lovers" *Crafted in bisque  porcelain featuring ivory bisque skin tones paired with pastel-hued or classical draped garments with subtle gilt accents.   *Designed by  Alois Hampel,  a prominent Bohemian sculptor & ceramic designer who served as the chief modeller for the famous Royal Dux porcelain factory. Active primarily from the late 1880s until the outbreak of World War I, he is widely regarded as the key artistic figure behind the factory's golden Art Nouveau era. It was during his tenure where  Royal Dux pieces achieved international acclaim, winning awards at major exhibitions like the St. Louis World's Fair and the Milan Exhibition. *Has the  iconic raised pink  ceramic  triangle mark stamped with an E as well as '1559' (model number) & '3' (size code for 18 1/2" models). Has neither of the age identifying "Made in Austria" or "Made in Czechoslovakia" markings.  Also has the word 'Hampel' painted on the base's backside.    - The letter "E" signifies the earliest and most historically desirable production era for Royal Dux collectors, running from approximately 1860 until the end of World War I (circa 1918) . Dimensions - Height: 18 1/2" Length at widest point: 6 1/2" Width at widest point: 6" Base dimensions: 6" x 7" This figural group is about as rare as rare can get, with literal years passing before one can come up for sale.  Since 2012, there have been only 5 available for sale with the last one sold in 2020.  A true eBay unicorn, who knows when another'll turn up!  Shipping will be via USPS.  Always happy to answer questions, Condition: Used.
