Overview: Genuine antique Seal of North Carolina Plug Cut smoking tobacco box by Marburg Bros, a great piece of early country store advertising and tobacciana. Bold lithographed label on the front with the circular scene and gold lettering, dovetail joined wood construction throughout. Condition & Flaws: This is an antique piece being sold as-is. The front label is mostly present but torn and chipped at the top corners with some loss to the "Seal of" lettering. The side panels have lost most of their paper label, down to bare wood with a few fragments remaining, including a partial old tax stamp on the back. The bottom is bare wood. The box appears to be missing its original sliding lid, it is open on top as shown in photos. Please study all photos closely, they show the true condition of this piece.
