Vintage Japanese Miniature Big-Eye Spotted Fawn Deer Figurine Adorable vintage miniature fawn/deer figurine featuring the distinctive mid-century Japanese “big-eye” Bambi-style design. This exceptionally small fawn measures approximately 2 inches and has a wonderfully charming, whimsical appearance. The figure has a softly mottled tan/cream body decorated with hand-painted white spots, oversized glossy black eyes with delicate painted eyelashes, pink-painted inner ears and subtle rosy cheeks. The fawn is sculpted in a sweet seated/resting pose with its front legs tucked forward and rear legs folded beneath the body. The tiny black-painted hooves and carefully modeled facial features add a great deal of character for such a small piece. Vintage pre-owned condition. The figure has age-appropriate surface wear, discoloration and minor imperfections consistent with its age and small size.
