Description Original antique sewing needle packet from H. Milward & Sons , makers of the famous Patent Helix Needles in Redditch, England. This fragile early packaging example dates to around 1857 , based on the printed wrapper reading “Patent Wrappers, E. Milward Sole Agent, 1857.” This packet still contains the original needles , visible inside the folded brown paper envelope. The yellow-and-black printed labels on the outside are original and display the classic Milward sailing ship logo , used on their 19th-century crewel needle lines. Folded, the piece measures roughly 1.5 inches long . These hand-folded needle papers were produced individually and are increasingly scarce—especially complete with needles. Excellent addition to collections of early sewing notions, Victorian textile tools, or 19th-century English haberdashery. Fun Facts • H.
