This substantial 11-inch Santa wears a cream-colored hooded coat trimmed in fur and carries a basket filled with berries while a backpack on his back holds children, toys, and holiday treasures. He holds a miniature bottle-brush tree decorated with tiny bead ornaments and snow frosted accents. A wonderful example of Vaillancourt’s handcrafted New England folk art tradition and one of the larger Father Christmas figures from this period. Condition Very good vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs noted. Light age-related wear and minor paint loss consistent with age and display. Bottle-brush tree shows expected wear.
