This is a vintage Mexican convertible brooch pin and pendant. It is a mid-century piece, specifically from the late 1950s through the 1970s. This oval design has stone-to-stone inlay. The center featuring a mother-of-pearl flower, bordered by an iridescent crescent section of inlaid abalone shell pieces. The back is stamped "ALPACA MEXICO". (Please note that "Alpaca" is a traditional copper-nickel-zinc alloy and does not contain elemental silver. ) This measures 1 3/4" across and 1 1/3" high. The back has both a pin and a loop so it can be worn multiple ways.  This is in good vintage condition, the inlay is secure. The back does have some patina from age and use.
